Oh my god what a terrible hotel ! Noise, noise, noise, noise. Bus parking outside full of buses, so much noise and impossible to sleep from 6 AM until 10 AM. Windows are so dirty from the buses also. Dirty and very bad cleaning-staff. Where are the hotel management and the security ?

The website rating of this hotel require updating. I just spent a week here and would consider this hotel no better than two stars. There is no SPA and the gym is in a small room with limited equipment. Breakfast is below average. Hotel populated mainly with Chinese and Indian tourists. There are far better options for the same money.

I decided to book a more deluxe room through the hotel, which means it had a balcony with view at $51/night or 1845B. I was there a week and wanted something nice when I came back every night. Just to be clear, though the price is low in relative terms for an American, it's relatively high for Thailand. The positives: Some nice interaction with the staff. Maybe because I speak Thai and was there a week? The view at the rooftop pool was great. The hotel is very convenient to everything including the baht buses. Room was spacious. Maids were discreet and thorough. The negatives. Hotel seems grand, and probably was in the early 90s. It needs a complete refreshening. Every surface is hard throughout the hotel, which means it's an echo chamber. Everywhere. On my floor alone people were screaming and slamming doors at 6am. There were bus tours from India and China on different days when I was there. From other reviews apparently this in the norm, and probably how they stay in business. Anyway, I felt like the lone guest in a sea of crazy loud tourists on most days. The beautiful windows in my room, on my side of the hotel, with the views, were cloudy from not being cleaned in a long time. There was missing lighting (could see the wires) in my bathroom which made it ridiculously bright on one side and sadly dark on another as I couldn't control the levels I wanted. In this room you are required to crawl into a bath tub to move the drapes so you have privacy. Along with the lighting issue, this was a daily challenge to get the right mix and stay safe without slipping. The gym is not very good. They had a good set a dumbells, but no bench. A fitness room without a bench? The one large apparatus that does everything was so complicated and difficult to use that I stopped trying. There's a coffee area next to the breakfast room. I didn't add breakfast to my stay, so wanted to order coffee. I was told the person who makes coffee was not there, and then on another morning was told there was no milk for the cappuccino, so I stopped going. My A/C was loud, though nicely cool. Overall opinion: Every surface of this hotel needs help. The drapes have been open/closed a million times, there are missing pieces of this and dinged pieces of that everywhere. Shiny, marbly, tiled and hard surfaces that echo every noise throughout the hotel. The staff in general seem bored and uninterested. I mean, there are moments of professionalism and care, but it's like they do the same thing the same way every day no matter the consequences.

My first experience was that I'm the only one who stay in this hotel because all lights are closed, room like open after so many months...for Indians they even don't have bread to offer in breakfast, when I shouted then they will arranged bread. If without breakfast possible so save your money...I think this Grand hotel still not fully recovered from COVID. Only 1 staff available for all your needs..he is Superman...I think for individual it's ok but if you travel with Spouse avoid otherwise you have nothing to offer her in Aiyaara ✨
